Mr McRonald Nale

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws LLB, Hons (UPNG), 2007.
  • Post Graduate Legal Training Institute, 2008.
  • Admitted to practice law in the National and Supreme Courts of Papua New Guinea in 2008.

Experience in Practice

McRonald is the principal of Jema Lawyers. Since 2008 he has been practising as a litigation lawyer in the Supreme and National Courts as well as the other lowers Courts such as the District Court, Provincial Land Court and Local Land Court.

McRonald has extensive experience in civil, criminal and commercial litigation. His experience includes administrative law, constitutional law, criminal law, law on banking and insolvency, land law, company law, law of tort, energy law, property law, law of contracts, family law and human rights law.

Apart from the above, McRonald has practise solely in constitutional reference in the Supreme Court and have also assisted overseas based Southern Counsel on constitutional references in the Supreme Court for various matters.

He also practises in other forms of dispute resolution such as mediation and arbitration, and has experience in handling cases involving industrial disputes. He has also been involved in other law practise related proceedings such as Commission of Inquiry and Leadership Tribunal.

Prior to starting Jema Lawyers in 2012, McRonald began his career with Posman Kua Aisi as a litigation lawyer under the supervision of Hon. Kerenga Kua for over 4 years.

Experience in Practice

Since 2013, Beryl has been practising as a litigation lawyer in the Supreme and National Courts as well as the other lowers Courts such as the District Court and Provincial Land Court. She is experienced in both civil and commercial litigation in the areas of administrative law, land law, wills, probate & administration law, company law, law of torts, energy law particularly mining and petroleum, property law, and law of contract and constitutional law. She also has experience in Supreme Court references and application on interpretation of constitutional laws. She also practises in criminal litigation.

Apart from litigation, Beryl also engages in commercial advising in the areas of energy law particularly mining and petroleum. She also has experience in drafting contracts such as assets transfer, sale of land, profit sharing contract etc. Beryl also has experience in conveyance.

Prior to joining the firm, Beryl was with Mirupasi for 3 years and joined Heduru Moni Plus Limited as their in-house counsel.

Experience in Practice

Elizah has litigation experience in civil law in the National Courts. He has both litigation and general advising experience in these areas of law: Election Petition, Company Law and Administrative law. He has experience in providing legal advice, drafting, and preparing court documents and correspondence for civil and commercial matters, election petition and judicial review matters in the National and Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea.

Experience:

Lincoln joined the Firm immediately after his admission. He has been working, under the supervision. He carries out legal research, drafting legal opinion/advice, drafting and preparing court documents and correspondence for civil and commercial matters, judicial review matters and land law matters. He also attends taxation and Court in the National court and Supreme Court.

Paralegals

Experience


Audith has joined the Firm in 2016 and worked as the legal
secretary attending to all Conveyance matters of the Firm. She was
then prompted to paralegal in 2021. She works with the
Conveyance team where she assist Beryl Kumo and Israel Jacob in
all Conveyance matters from the Firm. The Firm has done more
than 1000 conveyance matters in the last five (5) wherein Audith
has played a major role on preparing relevant documents, lodging
those documents, liaising with local municipal and preparing
settlement statements.

We have extensive experience in litigation in different fields of law at different levels of court, including quasi-judicial tribunals. The same also applies to our experience in commercial and corporate law. Drawing from this, we offer strategic guidance to our clientele on the many legal challenges that they face. We strive to provide the required services to our clientele in a timely, efficient, and economical manner.
